Born in Hamburg, she studied Orchestral Conducting from 1994 to 1999 at the Conservatory for Music in Lübeck. During that time, she gained her first experiences as répétiteur, conductor and musical assistant in opera productions in Hamburg and Lübeck and co-productions with Theater Lübeck.
She played many concerts as a pianist with ENSEMBLE 13, touring to the Edinburgh Festival, the Philharmonie in Cologne, the Konzerthaus in Berlin and many others.
Her first professional engagement was as répétiteur at Theater Bremen (1999-2004), where she also conducted many performances. From 2005 till 2008, she was engaged as répétiteur at the Deutsches Nationaltheater Weimar, where she worked as musical assistant for many productions, amongst them as principal assistant for the “Ring des Nibelungen” by Richard Wagner.
In 2008 she was appointed Head of Music Staff at the Komische Oper Berlin, where she assisted conductors such as Konrad Junghänel, Patrick Lange and Stefan Blunier, as well as working with directors such as Stefan Herheim, Hans Neuenfels and Barrie Kosky.
At the Bregenz Festival 2012 she was engaged as a répétiteur for the world premiere of Detlef Glanerts opera “Solaris”.
In 2007/08 she taught repertoire for singing students at the Hochschule für Musik “Franz Liszt” Weimar.
Since 2010 she has been a regular member of the jury at the International Singing Competition DEBUT in Weikersheim.
In addition to being permanently employed at different opera houses she also worked for many years as a private Musical and Vocal Coach for singers and musical performers. This work includes pronunciation/diction (German, Italian, French), vocal technique as well as help in the preparation of complete roles, recitals, concerts and arias for auditions. In summer 2016 she quit her job at Komische Oper to have more time for her work as a freelance Vocal Coach.
From 2017/18 on she will be Assistentin des Generalmusikdirektors at the Hessische Staatstheater Wiesbaden.
